The Bechdel test tries to identify gender bias in fiction. Let’s see what movies in 2013 failed the test.

For a piece of work, in this case a movie, to pass the Bechdel test it must:

1. Have at least two named women

2. These women talk to each other

3. They must talk about something besides a man

Identity Thief

Failed! Although, there is a moment where two women exchange a couple of words regarding doing the dishes. Fascinating and captivating scene.

21 & Over

Failed for having like one woman character in the movie.

It failed because there are two (or more) women in this movie but they only talk about a man.
