It happened last night at the Gagosian Gallery — you missed it!

Last night, the Gagosian Gallery on Madison Avenue hosted the opening reception for "American Legacy," the paintings of former President George W. Bush.

As you can see in the above and below photographs, many of Gotham's art scene bons vivants attended the solo show.

Animal New York art critic, Marina Galperina, says the photos, which were uploaded to Facebook last night at 3 am, are obvious fakes. But I worked in advertising for 20 years, and I can spot a Photoshop job with the best of them; and these shots look 110% authentic.

I gotta say I am disappointed not to see any of W's sexy self-bathroom canvases in the show.

I'll be checking it out this week.

Hugo Chávez was the socialist president of Venezuela; Cesar Chavez was a labor leader and civil rights activist. See the difference?

Many conservatives outraged over Google's choice to feature a Cesar Chavez doodle instead of something Easter-related were especially angry because they mistook Cesar Chavez for the far more polarizing Hugo Chávez. March 31 is Cesar Chavez Day, not the late Hugo Chávez's 86th birthday, as some have claimed.

It didn't help that conservative Twitter watchdogs Twitchy, led by Michelle Malkin, misidentified the Google doodle in question as Hugo.

The headline has since been changed.

Good Morning America asked BuzzFeed to come up with something larger-than-life made of Peeps. So we decided to recreate Van Gogh's Starry Night . Pretty easy, right?

This is Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night.

We needed something recognizable to make out of Peeps. Everyone knows Starry Night, right?
